Rick Revelle talks to Margi McKay about his novels I Am Algonquin (2013), Algonquin Spring (2015), and Algonquin Sunset (2017).
Inspired by his own native heritage, and the lack of books about the life of the Algonquin people, Rick wrote these three books to provide an accurate description of indigenous life in North America prior to contact with Europeans. He used authentic indigenous languages, and sought and received the approval of native elders for his writing. The books are being published as a series, “Algonquin Quest”, by Dundurn Press.
